Ash cloud heads for the Netherlands

The cloud of volcanic ash above Iceland’s Grimsvötn volcano is likely to head for the Netherlands on Tuesday evening, air traffic control says. Some limitation of air traffic is expected.

The ash cloud is currently causing problems for airlines operating to and from Scotland, with KLM and EasyJet cancelling flights until around 6pm this evening.
Air travellers are being advised to contact their airline for more information.
