ADO Den Haag back in Europe after 24 years

The Hague football club ADO Den Haag will take part in the preliminary rounds of the Europa League next season, the first time the club has played in European competition for 24 years.


ADO clinched their place on penalties after Groningen fought back from a 5-1 defeat in the first leg.
In other play-off matches, both Excelsior of Rotterdam and VVV of Venlo beat the numbers two and three of the first division, to stay in the premier league next season.
Willem II of Tilburg is relegated and RKC Waalwijk moves up.
