Unilever warns of rising commodity prices

Food to detergents group Unilever booked a 7% increase in sales during the first three months of this year but said rising commodity costs would force it to take cost cutting measures.


Total revenues reached €10.9bn while underlying sales growth was 4.3%, just missing the company’s key target.
All categories grew during the period, driven by emerging markets which were up 9.9%, the company said in a statement.
