The number of people on the unemployment register fell by 5,000 in March but the official jobless rate remains 5.1%, the national statistics office CBS said on Thursday.

In particular, the number of unemployed young people has gone down sharply over the past year. However, there has not been a corresponding increase in the number of youngsters at work, meaning most are in education, the CBS said.
