MPs demand measures on pension costs

MPs have given pension funds a ‘few weeks’ to come up with a proposal covering how they plan to be more transparent about their investments and costs.


If they fail to do so, legislation will follow, MPs from across the political spectrum said in an open letter in the NRC.
Earlier this week, the financial services regulator AFM said pension funds are spending between €1.5bn and €3bn more in investment costs than noted in their annual reports.
