Minister looks at life-long supervision for sex criminals

Junior justice minister Fred Teeven is to expand research into the life-long supervision of people who have served time in a psychiatric prison to cover people convicted of sex crimes, the Telegraaf reports.

The original investigation just focuses on people who have had a tbs sentence, but Teeven is now expanding that to cover sex criminals who were only sentenced to traditional prison.
The permanent supervision could include weekly reports to a probation officer and random house searches, the paper says.
