Military personnel, who are not allowed to strike, are planning work-to-rule actions at Eindhoven and Rotterdam airports in protest at the planned scrapping of 6,000 defence jobs, says news agency ANP.

Both airports are used by military and commercial flights so any work-to-rule, which means keeping strictly to employment conditions, could lead to delays for commercial passengers.
The armed forces are also planning a day of protest, possibly on May 23, when parliament will debate the defence cuts. Military unions say this could include driving slowly in columns along motorways during the rush hour.
