Holland ‘not attractive’ for Tunisians

Tunisian refugees will not arrive in the Netherlands in great numbers because the language is too difficult and they don’t like Geert Wilders, reports Trouw.

The home affairs ministry is not expecting an influx, the paper says. And the Tunisian Association Haarlem told the paper they would rather go to France where they speak the language.
Marzoug Lehiba, who founded the association 20 years ago, told Trouw he expects just three or four will head for the Netherlands.
Around 7,000 Tunisians live in the Netherlands at the moment.
This weekend, the government said immigration police will be on extra alert to check on Tunisians trying to enter the country illegally. Italy is giving upwards of 25,000 temporary visas for the EU.
