Fire warning upped to red in places

North-eastern parts of Brabant have been designated a code red fire risk because of the drought, and a number of traditional Easter bonfires have been banned.

Code red means some nature reserves have been closed to the public. Barbecues and burning garden rubbish are also banned.
Code orange was introduced in Utrecht, Gelderland, Overijssel and northern parts of Limburg on Thursday.
The Telegraaf reports that weather forecasters from MeteoVista say it will be July before any significant amount of rain falls.
