Works council takes TNT Post to court over part-time policy

The works council at TNT Post is going to court in an effort to stop the company sacking delivery workers and employing part-timers instead.

The company is currently reorganising its organisation, with the loss of some 11,000 jobs. This means delivery staff can be declared surplus to requirements. Yet at the same time, the company is advertising for part-timers, news agency ANP reports.
The company court will hear the case on Thursday.
