Trade surplus widens in January

Exports rose 7% in January while imports were up 6%, the national statistics office CBS said on Monday.


The trade surplus reached €3.1bn in January, up almost €1bn on January 2010. Exports to non-EU countries grew more sharply than to EU countries.
