Three more names added to Amsterdam daycare abuse scandal

Three more people have been added to the list of suspects in the Amsterdam daycare child abuse scandal, the Volkskrant reports on Wednesday.

Two men aged 32 and 36 from Amstelveen have been arrested. One of them worked as a temporary assistant at daycare centre KinderRijk in the town.
The third man, a 24-year-old British national, died of a heart attack brought on by a drugs overdose last October. This was before the scandal broke, the Volkskrant said.

Amstelveen

The two men from Amstelveen share the same address. The 36-year-old is thought to have been a contact of chief suspect Robert Mickelsons who has admitted abusing over 80 children.
The 32-year-old, who had proper childcare diplomas, is under suspicion of possessing child pornography.
He is not suspected of abusing children at the daycare centre where he worked since March 2010.
