Royal attic turnout starts at Sotheby’s

Visitors to Sotheby’s in Amsterdam can have a good look at household items belonging to the Dutch royal family as the viewing days for the auction of over 10,000 objects once owned by queen Juliana open on Tuesday.

Juliana’s daughters queen Beatrix and the princesses Irene, Margriet and Christina are having a turnout of objects ranging from china and glass to furniture and paintings.
Proceeds from the sale, which takes place on March 14 to 17, will go to four charities.
