One third of vocational teachers to retire within 10 years
One third of teachers at vocational training colleges will reach retirement age within the next 10 years, the Volkskrant reported on Saturday.
Almost one third of mbo college teachers is aged 55 or over, the paper said. The paper was investigating the likely effect of the greying population on the Netherlands.
At universities, 27% of staff will retire by 2021 while at hbo colleges, 25% of staff will retire between now and the next 10 years.
