Libyan deputy consul distances himself from Gaddafi

The Libyan deputy ambassador in The Hague has officially distanced himself from the Libyan regime, Nos television reports.

Ahmed al-Tabouli issued a formal statement during a noisy news conference saying he no longer supported the regime but declined to comment on the political situation in the country, Nos said.
He called on the Dutch authorities and aid organisations to start supplying humanitarian help, particularly medical aid and food.
Nos says the consulate has been flying the rebel’s flag since March 7.
