Flevoland recounts its votes

The province of Flevoland is recounting the votes cast in the provincial elections on Tuesday afternoon, reports the Volkskrant.

Last week it was discovered that in Almere 80 more voting cards were handed in than the number of votes counted. What happened to these 80 votes is still a mystery.
The missing votes could be vital for the Liberal VVD, ChristenUnie and animal party PvdD in giving them an extra seat.
This in turn could affect the make-up of the upper house when provincial councillors vote for senators on May 23.
