Feyenoord protests at loss of another youth player to England

Rotterdam football club Feyenoord has asked the Dutch football association to investigate approaches made by English side Manchester City to 16-year-old talent and young international Karim Rekik.

‘If a young player or his parents opts to go abroad, then we look at the FIFA rules. And if they allow us to keep the player we will, also in the case of Karim Rekik, Feyenoord boss Eric Gudde told the Telegraaf.
Feyenoord has lost a string of young players to foreign clubs. This season Kyle Ebilicio has signed to Arsenal, 15-year-old Nathan Ake to Chelsea and Luc Castaignos to Internazionale.
According to the AD, the club believes football broker Sören Lerby and Manchester City approached the youngster before he was 16.
The KNVB bans the involvement of brokers in the career of players aged under 16, as well as official transfers.
