CDA leader Verhagen is skiing, not campaigning

CDA leader and deputy prime minister Maxime Verhagen has not been active in the final week of the provincial election campaign because he is on a skiing holiday, the NRC reports on Tuesday.

The CDA is set to be hammered in Wednesday’s vote and the party has launched a last-ditch 36 hour marathon to encourage voters to go the polls.
Verhagen will return on Wednesday to vote, a party spokesman told the paper.
