Women in top jobs campaign stalls
Efforts to boost the number of women in top jobs at the Netherlands biggest firms are failing, according to an interim assessment by the SCP socio-cultural planning office and national statistics office CBS.
Women held just 9% of the top jobs at the country’s 100 biggest firms in 2009, the research showed. The government’s official target is 20%.
However, the number of women in important government positions reached 25% in 2009, two years ahead of target.
