The Netherlands was EU net payer in 2009
The Netherlands was again a net payer into the EU coffers in 2009, according to new figures from the national audit office.
On balance, the Netherlands paid a net €3.4bn to the EU, making it the fourth biggest net payer behind Germany, Italy and France.
