Moerdijk chemicals fire damage tops €41m

The fire at a chemicals packaging plant in Moerdijk last month caused damage to the value of €41.5m, according to Peter van der Velden, head of the regional public safety team.

The total bill could be as high as €60m, including unforeseen costs, Van der Velden told reporters.
Lawyers are currently assessing how much of the damage the Moerdijk plant itself should be held responsible for.
