A Dutch missionary has been murdered and his wife raped in the Kenyan Athi River region, the Telegraaf reports.

The couple’s children witnessed the attack on their parents which took place during a robbery in the orphanage they run.
The couple, part of the Groningen Free Baptist community, have been in Kenya since 2008. They worked under the auspices of the international Christian organisation Youth with a Mission.
