Heavy traffic expected as winter sport holiday begins
Heavy traffic is expected on the Dutch roads on Friday as hundreds of thousands of people go away for the half-term holidays.
Over 375,000 people are heading for ski resorts in France and Austria, while a similar number are planning to holiday at home.
The roads will be particularly busy on the way to the Alps because there are also half-term holidays in other European countries, motoring organisation ANWB warned.
