Civil servants wrote CDA campaign speeches: PowNed

GroenLinks MPs have called for an emergency debate over claims that civil servants from the economic affairs ministry have been used to work on the Christian Democrat’s campaign for next week’s provincial election.

Broadcaster PowNed reported on Thursday night several workers in the minstry’s communication department had been put to work writing speeches. If questions were asked, they were to say the speeches were for a work visit by economic affairs minister Maxime Verhagen, one civil servant told the broadcaster.
The minister told PowNed he had not used civil servants in the campaign and would condemn it if such a thing had happened.
