Carnival prince trial delayed so he can do his job

A magistrate’s court in Den Bosch has agreed to delay the case against a man accused of physical abuse because he has to appear at a carnival party at an old people’s home.

Ron van Zelst is carnival prince in his home town of Veghel and asked the court to delay his trial so he could perform his duties on March 4.
Ironically, Van Zelst is facing charges arising from an incident during last year’s carnival celebrations.
