Foreign ministry pays lawyers for Dutch woman facing death in Iran

The foreign affairs ministry is paying for two Iranian lawyers to defend Dutch Iranian woman Zahra Bahrami, who has been sentenced to death for drugs smuggling, the ministry confirmed on Thursday.


Bahrami was arrested at the end of 2009 after attending an anti-government demonstration. She was in Tehran to visit family.
