33 firms fined for cartel forming last year

The competition body NMa fined 33 companies a total €137m last year for their role in 12 different cartels, the organisation said in a statement on Friday.


Eight senior executives were also fined for their role in running companies which broke competition rules.
In 2009, the NMa levied fines totalling just €4.5m, news agency ANP said.
