Wesley Sneijder third in World Soccer poll
Dutch football player Wesley Sneijder has been voted third best player in the world by the readers of British football magazine World Soccer.
Sneijder, who plays for Inter Milan, picked up 17% of the votes, behind Spain’s Xavi with 26% and Argentina’s Lionel Messi on 24%.
The Dutch national team came sixth in the football team of the year vote. Spain, which beat Oranje in the World Cup final, won.
