Sports club faces legal action over headscarf ban

Rotterdam anti-discrimination bureau Radar is taking fitness chain Fit for Free to court for banning women who wear Islamic headscarves.

Lawyer Carrie Jansen told the Telegraaf Radar had decided to go to court because the company refused to amend its rules, despite three rulings by the equal opportunities commission.
The commission’s findings are not binding.
