Private foundation buys pink queen portrait
A pink portrait of Queen Beatrix by Andy Warhol raised €422,000 at auction at Christies on Tuesday night.
The work was bought by the Triton Foundation, a private foundation which collects important works of art dating from 1860-1970.
According to news agency ANP, the portrait will be loaned to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. But tv programme Shownieuws says it will be on show at the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague.
