Police chief suspended following inappropriate tweets
Tuesday 28 December 2010
Zuidwest-Drenthe police chief Gerda Dijksman has been suspended after using the microblogging service Twitter to comment on a double death in Meppel, the Telegraaf reports.
‘I just heard two people have been found dead in Meppel. In my district it would probably have been domestic violence,’ Dijksman wrote.
The couple were in fact killed by carbon monoxide poisoning.
Dijksman came under fire at the end of August for describing the anti-Islam PVV as a fascist party.
The Telegraaf said an internal investigation had begun into the police chief’s ways of working.

Like Orwell said, during times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.
Anybody who does not go along with the lies of the PVV and their allies in bigotry had better have a good nest egg built up.
