Dutch Liberal is European MP of the year
Jeanine Hennis-Plassschaert, who was a European parliamentarian before switching to national politics in June, has been voted European MP of the year by readers of weekly magazine European Voice.
VVD member Hennis-Plasschaert led the European parliamentary resistance to plans to give the US access to European banking transactions.
