Cabinet should go if it fails to get senate majority: CDA leaderThursday 23 December 2010 The right-wing CDA VVD cabinet supported by the anti-Islam PVV will lose its right to exist if the three parties cannot account for a majority of seats in the senate after the March elections, says the CDA’s leader in the senate Jos Werner. ‘Numerous things this cabinet thinks are important will struggle to get through the senate if the three parties don’t have a majority,’ Werner said in an interview with the NRC. ‘Then you have to ask as a cabinet if there is any point in continuing.’ On Tuesday, the cabinet was forced to delay plans to increase tax on theatre tickets and to cut pensions to the under-65s who are married to people of pension age. The CDA and VVD currently hold 35 of the 75 seats in the senate. The PVV is not represented but is fielding candidates in the March provincial elections. The results of the provincial vote determine the make-up of the senate. © DutchNews.nl
Seems like our present government is just squabbling over power & new schemes to milk us harder. I hope it doesn't get worse! By The visitor | December 24, 2010 4:04 AM

Fingers crossed we can have a government without having to do deals with racists to feed their own agendas.
