Strong winds disrupt flights from Schiphol airport

The autumn storm and strong winds are leading to delays and some flight cancellations, Schiphol airport said on Friday morning.

The disruption began on Thursday afternoon.
The wind and rain also disrupted the Thursday evening Sint Maarten festivities.
St Maarten is a Dutch tradition which takes place on November 11, in which children go from door to door carrying lanterns and singing songs in return for sweets.
