Ship hits Erasmus bridge
A cargo ship hit the Erasmus bridge in Rotterdam on Monday morning, destroying its wheelhouse in the process.
The captain saw the bridge in time to pull his wife from the wheelhouse and jump clear himself. Neither was hurt.
According to the port authorities, heavy mist may have played a part in the accident.
Damage to the bridge is minimal.
