Senate backs mortgage tax relief reform
A majority of senators in the upper house of parliament back limits to the mortgage tax relief system and plan to ask the government to think about it, the Telegraaf reported at the weekend.
The new minority cabinet has already pledged not to reform the tax break for home owners, which is one of the most generous in Europe.
The motion was supported by 38 of the 75 senators.
