New angel has mobile phone with direct line to God
The St Jans cathedral in Den Bosch has a new angel – a very modern one clutching a mobile phone with one button for a direct link to God.
Sculptor Ton Mooy is making 25 new angels for the cathedral, which being renovated.
The mobile-using angel first had to be approved by the cathedral fathers. They rejected suggestions that she should be given jet engines rather than wings and wear trousers.
