Make party donations public, say D66 and GroenLinks

Political parties could be forced to publish details of all gifts they receive of at least €1,500, if draft legislation from the D66 Liberal party and GroenLinks gets parliamentary approval.

Donations should be registered whether made by individuals or companies in order to prevent conflicts of interest, the parties say.
Now, parties only have to declare corporate gifts of over €4,500.
The rules do not apply to Geert Wilders’ anti-Islam PVV because it is not an official political party.
