First snow falls in south and north
Up to six centimetres of snow has fallen in the northeast of the country and southern province of Limburg, the first fall of the winter.
But the heavy snow forecast for this weekend is likely to be delayed until the middle of next week, forecaster Hajo Smit told the Telegraaf on Friday.
