Cut off medical specialists salaries at €300,000
Medical specialists should face a salary ceiling of €300,000, Frank de Grave, head of the specialists’ association, said in the NRC on Saturday.
A number of specialists earn more than this and the association is in talks with the health ministry about reforms and cutting bonuses.
‘We will ultimately have to accept cuts,’ De Grave said. ‘And [health minister Edith] Schippers wants to get away from the image that specialists are greedy.’
