Schiphol puts transit passenger fee hike on hold

Schiphol airport has agreed not to change its tariff structure pending the outcome of a joint investigation with national flag carrier KLM, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Wednesday.

Schiphol had planned to increase fees for transit passengers and to do more to attract budget airlines like EasyJet.
KLM argued the transit charge hike would hurt its operations.
Airline sector group IATA also wrote to Schiphol to protest at the plans.
