The involvement of the anti-Islam PVV in the probable next Dutch government will not damage the Netherlands’ reputation in Europe, European commissioner and VVD stalwart Neelie Kroes told a tv chat show on Monday.

The VVD and Christian Democrats hope to form a minority coalition which will be kept in power with the support of the PVV.
Kroes said the rest of the world ‘is not being kept awake’ by the Dutch political machinations. ‘Nor is the business community,’ she said.
