PSV moves into premier league lead
PSV Eindhoven moved to the top of the Dutch premier league after the weekend’s football, as Amsterdam’s Ajax dropped three points against FC Utrecht.
PSV beat VV Venlo 3-1 to go one point ahead of the Amsterdammers on 18 after eight games. Ajax lost 1-2 at home to Utrecht and remains on 17 points.
FC Twente caused Groningen’s first defeat of the season so far, beating the northerners 4-2 and moving into third place in the league on 16 points.
