People in mixed urban areas are more positive about the police

People living in multicultural neighbourhoods are more positive about the police than those living in white areas, according to new research by the national statistics office CBS.


Some 44% of people living in areas with a high concentration of immigrants feel the police do a good job of protecting them. But in areas where the population is predominately native Dutch, the figure is 36%
People in multicultural areas are also more likely to praise the police for working efficiently and reacting to problems.
People living in cities are more likely to be positive about the police than those in smaller towns and rural areas.
