Edgar Vos shops declared bankrupt

The late fashion designer Edgar Vos’ chain of stores has been declared bankrupt, reports news agency ANP. There are sixteen stores throughout the Netherlands employing 100 people.

The stores will remain open while the official receiver investigates the possibility of relaunching the company.
Vos, one of the country’s foremost designers, died in January 2010. The receiver told ANP his death has nothing to do with the bankruptcy.
The company declined to comment.
