Crucell to hold shareholders meeting on J&J offer

Biotechnology company Crucell is to hold a shareholders meeting on December 10 to discuss the takeover offer by US giant Johnson & Johnson.

Shareholder Ven Herk Groep, which has a 10% stake in Crucell, had called for the meeting. It believes the J&J offer is too low and too early. Other shareholders are also opposed to the deal.
J&J has offered €24.75 a share for Crucell, valuing the company at €1.7bn.
