Tuesday 28 September 2010
Shares in Dutch luxury car maker Spyker soared nearly 65% in Amsterdam on Monday after news broke that its Saab subsidiary is in talks with German car maker BMW.
Saab, which was taken over by the the much smaller Spyker earlier this year, is said to be in talks about cooperating on technology components.
´The group confirms that talks are ongoing and will give further details once a final agreement has been reached,´ Spyker said.
News agencies report that Saab has scheduled a news conference for Wednesday at its headquarters in Trollhattan, Sweden, without saying why.
