Friday 03 September 2010
Police in The Hague have fished a rare albino tiger python out of a city centre canal. They had been alerted by passersby who spotted the one metre snake in the water.
A spokesman for the Serpo reptile zoo told news agency ANP the snake was a baby because adults grow up to four metres long. The snake had escaped from a private reptile collection.
