Océ books small profit in third quarter

Print-maker Océ announced on Thursday it made a modest profit in the third quarter of 2010. Net profit was €6m compared with a loss of €25m in the year earlier period.

Turnover rose 6% to €669m, mainly through positive currency fluctuations.
Most of the improvement comes from the European market, with US customers still holding back on buying expensive printers. ‘Growth in Europe is not spectacular, but it’s heading in the right direction,’ CFO Hans Kerkhoven said in a statement.
