Half of parking ticket complaints are justified

The Amsterdam city council traffic warden service Cition has had to process over 14,500 letters of complaint in the first six months of this year, the Telegraaf reports on Wednesday.

Last year Cition had 23,000 complaints to deal with but the 2010 figure has been boosted because Zuid borough council now uses its services as well.
One in eight parking tickets leads to a complaint and half of the complaints are found to be justified, the paper says.
